The Prairie du Chien Common Council held their re-organizational meeting Tuesday. Two people were interested in filling the 6th Ward vacancy – Nick Crary and Steve Rickleff. In a vote of 4 to 3, Crary was elected to the seat. Nate Gilberts was elected Council President.
During the regular meeting, two resolutions were approved. April 29th was declared Arbor Day in the city, and May 14th was declared Migratory Bird Day in Prairie du Chien.
The council also gave to OK to the Volga City Truck cruise to come to St. Feriole Island on August 26th for a truck cruise and show.
