A manufactured home sustained moderate damage in an accident that happened Friday morning in Grant County. The Grant County Sheriff’s says that 33 year old James Spearman of Kirbyville, Texas was hauling the home on a semi near the bridge on Highway 35/61 north of Dickyville southbound towing an oversized manufactured home. Spearman said that a northbound pickup truck crossed the centerline into his lane of travel forcing him to swerve to avoid a collision. Spearman’s semi and the home struck the guardrail on the side of the roadway causing extensive damage. Spearman was able to drive the semi from the scene to a safe location at the top of the hill. The semi received minor damage and was driven from the scene. No injuries were reported in the accident.
