Only Two “Lawn Chair Learning” Sessions Left!

There are two “Lawn Chair Learning” sessions left for the summer!  The series is sponsored by the Crawford County Master Gardeners and the City of Prairie du Chien Parks and Rec Department at the 4th Ward Shelter on Fisher Street on St. Feriole Island.  On Thursday, August 30th, the subject is “You say to-may-toe; I say to-mah-to”, which will be a tomato tasting.  As of now, there will be 15 to 20 varieties to taste.  Anyone with a unique variety that you would like to share is welcome.  They ask that you bring two or three of the large type, or seven to eight cherry style tomatoes to share.  Judging will take place, and you can vote for your favorites.

The July 5th session,  “Composting 101” was cancelled because of severe weather, and will be made up on Tuesday, September 13th.

The program is free and starts at 5:48 pm. If you have any questions, call Donna at 608-412-4661.
