2023 RESIDENTIAL CITY-WIDE SPRING CLEAN UP
PRAIRIE DU CHIEN STREET DEPARTMENT

Beginning on April 17th Street Crews will start on the North end of the city and work south.
Items must be placed where the regular garbage is picked up. ALL ITEMS MUST BE SEPERATED OR IT WILL NOT BE PICKED UP!!
APPLIANCES-Must have doors and locks removed.
ELECTRONICS (INCLUDING MICROWAVES)-NONE ACCEPTED. Electronics will be collected later in the year, please watch for details.
BRUSH-Branches larger than 6 inches in diameter must have the limbs removed and placed in a separate pile. Brush must be piled parallel to the curbside or alley so that it can be scooped up easily or it WILL NOT BE PICKED UP. Piles should be no longer than 8 feet long and multiple piles must be separated.
PAINT CANS-Latex paint only. Lids must be removed and any remaining paint must be dry.
GLASS-Must be removed and separated from other articles.
TIRES-Must have rims removed-MAXIMUM OF 8. Car and light duty truck tires only.
USED OIL-Must be delivered by the property owner to the North side of the street shop and properly disposed of into the red 500 gallon used oil containment center.
Street crews will pick up brush, appliances, metal recyclables, and tires. Town and Country Sanitation will pick up the remaining items on Saturday, April 22nd at City of Prairie du Chien residential homes and multi-unit housing with 3 or less units and who have Town and Country Sanitation as their refuse provider.
All remaining items can be no more than 6 cubic yards which is equivalent to a pickup load.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO RETURN TRIPS! PLEASE MAKE SURE TO HAVE ALL ITEMS OUT BY 6 A.M. ON MONDAY, April 17!
