On Wednesday, May 14th, 2025, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office investigated a hit and run traffic crash on WI-STH 35 north of Frenchman’s Landing in the Township of Eastman. An unknown vehicle traveling southbound on WI-STH 35, in a construction zone, crashed into an enclosed trailer. The suspect vehicle is believed to have sustained heavy front-end damage as chrome vehicle parts remained at the scene. The crash occurred sometime between 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday and 6 a.m. on Wednesday.
