Incidents from May in Clayton County

  • On Thursday May 1st, 2025, at approximately 6:45 PM, Clayton County deputies were attempting to locate a wanted fugitive at a residence in Farmersburg. While doing so, deputies encountered Jesse Kellogg (26) of Boscobel, WI. While speaking with Kellogg, it was determined he had an outstanding arrest warrant through Clayton County. While placing Kellogg into custody, allegations arose that an assault had occurred between the female at the residence and Kellogg. Upon completion of the investigation, Kellogg was charged with domestic assault 1st offense, false imprisonment, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of controlled substance (marijuana) 2nd offense.
  • On Sunday May 4th, 2025, at approximately 2:32 AM Clayton County deputies arrested Henry Berns (32) of Garnavillo, Iowa for driving while license barred and domestic abuse assault (impeding air/blood flow causing bodily of injury). The arrest was made after deputies were called to a residence in Garnavillo for a disturbance.
  • On May 28th,2025, at approximately 6:51 AM Clayton County Deputies were dispatched to 30221 Highway 18 in rural McGregor for a burglary that had just occurred. Deputies arrived on scene and determined Gary Siegworth (39) of Prairie du Chein, Wisconsin had unlawfully entered a cabin on the property. Siegworth was located in the area by deputies and placed under arrest for burglary 3rd degree, trespassing 1st offense, and no valid driver’s license. Assisting the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office on scene was the Mar-Mac Police Department.
