On Wednesday, July 23rd, 2025, Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Edward Strand (38) of Prairie du Chien. Strand’s driver’s license was revoked, and he displayed indicators of drug impairment. Subsequently, Strand was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a restricted controlled substance (2nd Offense) and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked driver’s license.
Following the traffic stop, law enforcement personnel searched Strand’s apartment for illegal narcotics under the guidelines established in Wisconsin ACT 79 as Strand’s on probation. The search resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, drug paraphernalia, and THC concentrate. Strand received additional charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of psilocybin mushrooms, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of THC concentrate, and violation of probation.
Also, Hannah Pratt (33) of Waukon, Iowa, was present at Strand’s apartment, and she too was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine and felony bail-jumping. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Prairie du Chien Police Department. All individual(s) are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
