On September 8, 2025, at 1:47, PM the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call regarding a man who was caught underneath
farming equipment on Boice Creek Rd, in South Lancaster Township. Emergency personnel from both the Lancaster Fire Department and
Lancaster EMS responded to the scene. When the initial responding personnel arrived on scene, they discovered the male was deceased.
The investigation into the incident showed that Robert Stader, 77, of Lancaster, and another man were working on a piece of farm machinery,
when Stader became caught in the moving parts and died as a result of the injuries he sustained.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Lancaster Fire Department, Lancaster EMS, and the Grant County
Coroner’s Office.
