On September 18, 2025, at approximately 8:15pm, the Grant County Communications Center was notified of a 1 vehicle rollover accident with
injuries, near the address of 3516 Weinbrenner Rd., in Fennimore Township.
Upon arrival, Deputies learned the driver, Elizabeth Stewart, 16, of Fennimore, was westbound on Weinbrenner Rd. Stewart informed
deputies, she and her 3 passengers were traveling westbound in a 2025 Chrysler Pacifica. Stewart advised she was driving too fast on the
loose gravel of the newly chip sealed roadway, when she came over a hill and lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle went off the Left side of
the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned striking a power pole before coming to rest on it’s roof.
All three occupants received injuries and were transported by EMS to Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster for treatment of their injuries.
As a result of the crash, Stewart was issued a citation for Failure to Maintain Control, and one passenger was cited for not wearing a seatbelt.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Fennimore Fire Dept, Fennimore EMS, Lancaster EMS, and Montfort EMS. The vehicle
received disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene by Collision Specialists of Fennimore.
