Prairie du Chien Hoppers Legion Baseball team has received word that Colton Thompson has been selected to play at the Wisconsin American Legion Baseball All-Star Game. His father, Bjorn Thompson was also selected as a coach. The game will be played at American Family Field on August 7th following the Brewers vs Reds game.
Prairie du Chien also found out Wednesday that they will be hosting the 16 and under regionals Thursday July 14th through Monday July 18th. Teams that will compete in the double elimination tournament include Sparta, the La Crosse A’s; La Crosse Juniors; Westby/Coon Valley; Viroqua and Prairie du Chien. The Prairie du Chien JV team will start their regional play against Sparta on the 14th. The Regional Champions move on to the JV state tournament will be held the following week in Lomira.
