The Prairie du Chien Common Council met Tuesday night and approved a couple of parades happening in the community – the Prairie du Chien High School Homecoming Parade on September 21st, and the Octoberfest Parade happening on October 15th. The city also updated the city’s travel policy which hasn’t been updated since 2015. Rates for meals were increased and the mileage rate was adjusted to match the current IRS mileage rate. The council approved increasing longevity pay for employees, and increasing the maximum size of combined lots from 20 thousand square feet to 25 thousand square feet at Woodridge Acres.
