Tip Leads to Meth Arrest

A Coon Valley, Wisconsin woman was arrested Sunday after the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a tip that she was traveling to De Soto, to sell or deliver methamphetamine. Investigators responded and located 48-year-old Ann Waters seated in her vehicle in De Soto. She exhibited indicators of drug impairment. Crawford County Sheriff’s Office K9 Diego was utilized and alerted to the presence of a controlled substance in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle turned up several plastic baggies containing a large amount of methamphetamine, methamphetamine smoking devices, and a digital scale.

Waters was arrested and taken to the Crawford County Jail. At the jail, another plastic baggie containing a large amount of methamphetamine was discovered concealed on her person.

Waters was charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine near the Jail, possession of THC, and drug paraphernalia, and operating with a restricted controlled substance 4th offense.
