Boscobel Police Notice Suspicious Vehicle; Leads to Drug Arrest

A Boscobel man was arrested early Saturday morning after a Boscobel Police officer noticed a suspicious vehicle near the storage units behind the AmericInn Hotel in the area of State Highway 133 West and Old Woodman Road. The vehicle was occupied with the engine running. Also, the vehicle license plates did not match the vehicle. When the officer made contact with the occupant of the vehicle he was identified as 31 year old Robert Phetteplace of Boscobel. A check of his driver’s license showed he had an active warrant for his arrest through Richland County. Phetteplace was placed under arrest for the warrant. The Grant County K9 unit was called and turned up methamphetamine, methamphetamine paraphernalia, marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia, and prescription medication. Phetteplace was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and THC, Repeater offender, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Illegally obtained Prescription Medication, and Carrying a Concealed Knife. The Boscobel Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office
