“March Madness” is at a fever pitch as college basketball fans will find out which teams will make the final four this weekend. The Iowa Pork Producers Association is celebrating “Pulled Pork Madness” as the search for Iowa’s best pulled pork sandwich is down to the final four as well. One of the restaurants vying for the title is “Backwoods Bar and Grill” in McGregor. They are currently up against a restaurant from Marshalltown to see which restaurant will make the finals. Backwoods has already defeated restaurants from cascade and Waterloo. You can cast your votes on the Iowa Pork Producers’ Facebook page or at iowapork.org. The current round of voting goes through Monday March 27th at 10am, with the championship round running from Monday at 5pm to Thursday March 30th at 10am, The winner will be announced Friday, March 31st. 158 nominations were received for 63 Iowa restaurants in the contest.
