Athlete of the Week

1. Kaleb Drape (Kee High School) Kaleb and the Kee Hawks have been on fire as of late and pushed their winning streak to 9 games with 5 more wins last week. In the first games of the week, the Kee Hawks defeated Clayton Ridge in both games on the doubleheader. In game 1 Kaleb went 1-2 with 2 runs scored and a walk. In the second game, Kaleb went 2-3 with a run scored and 4 RBIs. On Tuesday the Kee Hawks defeated North Fayette Valley 11-0. Kaleb went 1-2 with 2 RBIs. On Wednesday, Kaleb won on the mound for the Kee Hawks against Nashua-Plainfield. Kaleb pitched 7 shutout innings and only gave up 5 hits. At the plate, he went 1-4 with a run scored. In the Kee Hawks final game of the week, they defeated MFL MarMac 1-0. Kaleb went 0-2 at the plate but had the lone RBI in the contest.

2. Karly Willie (Clayton Ridge High School) Karly helped the Eagles jump out to first place in the conference with two victories over MFL MarMac last week. The Eagles fell in their first game of the week to Maquoketa Valley but bounced back nicely against the Bulldogs later in the week. In game 1 Karly went 1-2 with 2 RBIs. She also got the victory inside the circle, pitching 7 innings and only giving up 1 run as the Eagles won 3-1. In game 2 Karly also got the victory as she pitched another 7 innings giving up 4 runs. She went 1-4 at the plate with 2 RBIs as the Eagles won 9-4.
