One Dead and One Injured in UTV Crash in Prairie du Chien

On Saturday, May 28, 2022 at approximately 6:00 pm the Prairie du Chien Police Department was dispatched to a UTV crash with injuries on North Water Street in Prairie du Chien.

Officers responded and found a single UTV was involved and contained two occupants. The driver of the UTV was pronounced deceased on scene and a passenger was transported by Gundersen Health Ambulance to Crossing Rivers Health.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will be conducting the investigation and were on scene completing a reconstruction of the crash.

North Water Street was closed for approximately three and a half hours.

The Prairie du Chien Police Department was assisted on scene by: The Prairie du Chien Fire Department, Gundersen Health Ambulance, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Milo’s Towing, and the Crawford County Coroner.

Names of the victim(s) will be released at a later date out of respect for the family and to ensure all family has been notified.
