A Black River Falls man was arrested Sunday after leading a Crawford County Deputy and Prairie du Chien Police on a high speed chase.
The pursuit started just past midnight when 38 year old James Alan Jones was traveling on Highway 27. After The Crawford County Deputy that initiated the pursuit lost sight of the vehicle, Prairie du Chien Police Officers observed the vehicle West bound on Limery Road being operated at a high rate of speed. The vehicle turned South onto Highway 35 and proceeded to enter the City of Prairie du Chien. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle and the suspect refused to stop for the squad cars lights and sirens.
Jones eventually lost control of the vehicle at the Iowa Street round-a-bout causing a single vehicle crash. He was arrested for Knowingly Fleeing an Officer and transported to the Crawford County Jail.
