A De Soto woman faces charges following a traffic stop in Prairie du Chien on Friday. The Prairie du Chien K-9 Unit conducted a traffic stop on the 100 block of North Marquette Road. K-9 Phoenix was utilized to conduct an open-air sniff around the exterior of the vehicle and indicated the presence of controlled substances. A search of the vehicle resulted in seizing suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia associated with the ingestion of methamphetamine and heroin.
The driver, a 36 year old female from De Soto, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and transported to the Crawford County Jail.
The Prairie du Chien Police Department was assisted by members of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office. The case is ongoing and further arrests may occur.
