Icy road conditions led to an accident Tuesday in Grant County. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened on County Highway C just west of Borah Ridge Road. 26 year old Mikayla Mullikin of Bagley was traveling east on Highway C, negotiating a right curve, when she drove over some ice that was hard to see and lost control of the van. The van spun around, and entered the ditch on the south side of the highway, and came to rest tipping on to the passenger side. Mullikin initially unable to exit the van due to the position of the vehicle but was eventually able to free herself and her one-year-old daughter with the help of passersby. She was transported to a local hospital for evaluation after reporting a possible injury. The baby rode with her in the ambulance. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, the Bloomington Fire Department, Bagley First Responders, and West Grant EMS.
