Two Arrested After Search Warrant Leads to Recovery of Stolen Property

On Saturday, March 1st, 2025, following a lengthy burglary investigation, Crawford County Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that a search warrant was executed to recover stolen property located at 53604 CTH S in the Township of Seneca.

Charles Kirch (44) and Angela Ziegler (42) reside on premises and suspected of burglarizing a cabin and stealing an estimated thirty-thousand dollars’ worth of miscellaneous property; including, but not limited to, firearms, tools, décor, wood burning stove, ladder, electronics, furniture, etc.

As a result of searching the premises, law enforcement personnel apprehended Kirch and Ziegler and recovered numerous items that had been stolen from the cabin and other places. Also, discovered was a sawed-off shotgun, methamphetamine, methamphetamine paraphernalia, and a stolen rifle.

Kirch and Ziegler were transported to the Crawford County Jail. Kirch was charged with multiple counts of burglary, theft, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a sawed-off shotgun, and bail-jumping. Ziegler was charged with multiple counts of burglary, theft, possession of a sawed-off shotgun, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and bail-jumping.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, Richland County Sheriff’s Office, and Crawford County Highway Department.
