The Clayton County Sheriff’s Department has released information about a 3 car accident that happened July 18th on Highway 18 near the intersection of Dogwood Avenue. 74 year old Ronald Palmer of Postville was traveling south on Dogwood Avenue when he failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign, and collided with an eastbound vehicle driven by 30 year old Mernda Harnack of Monona. A third vehicle operated by 43 year old Gina Heins of Postville was also struck as a result of the accident. A minor passenger in Harnack’s vehicle was taken by ambulance to Gundersen Palmer Hospital in West Union. Palmer was cited for failure right of way from a stop sign.
