A Prairie du Chien business was recognized last week at the Wisconsin Economic Development Association’s awards luncheon last week in La Crosse. Brian and Brittany Nichols of the Waterfront Hotel received the Real Estate Redevelopment and Re-Use Award. The Nichols built the hotel on a parcel of land that had been vacant for 15 years:
Nichols says the facility quickly became a favorite for tourists and local residents:
He also says being able to provide a business such as the Waterfront Hotel to the area makes him very proud:
The Hotel, along with the Backwater Bar and Grill and the third floor event center employs eight full time and 38 part time staff.
