A Lancaster woman sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident in Grant County on October 6th. The Grant County Sheriff’s office says 24 year old Janecia Allbee lost control of the pickup she was driving on Highway 80/81 and struck a utility pole. Allbee was taken to Southwest Health for treatment of minor injuries.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Department is trying to locate the owner of a horse that was struck by a semi on the evening of October 6th. A Connecticut man was operating a semi southbound on Highway 61 near Buena Vista Lane when two horses entered the roadway. The semi hit one of the horses. The horse died at the scene and the Sheriff’s Office has not been able to locate the owner of the animal. If anyone has information in regards to the owner of the horse they are encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Office. The semi driver was not injured.
