Several people were injured in a one-vehicle roll-over Tuesday night in Grant County. The Grant County Sheriff’s Department says 22 year old Chase Lee Smith of Blue River was traveling north bound on County Road T in Watterstown Township. His vehicle experienced a mechanical issue when he was negotiating a curve causing him to lose control. The vehicle traveled off the roadway before rolling over multiple times and coming to a stop on top of round bales in a nearby field. There were three juvenile passengers in the car. One of the passengers was ejected. All four occupants of the vehicle were transported by EMS to the Boscobel Gunderson Emergency Room due to their injuries. Smith was placed under arrest at the hospital for Operating with a Restricted Controlled Substance 1st Offense Causing Injury. The Sheriff’s Department says Smith faces further charges, and the case remains under investigation.
