? Wednesday is the Day for the Return of the CP Holiday Train!

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train returns to the area Wednesday for the first time in three years, following virtual concerts in the pandemic years of 2020 and 2021. The train will again raise money, food and awareness for local food banks in communities along the CP network. One of those food banks is the Clayton County Food Shelf. Coordinator Utoni Ruff says he pandemic and inflation has put a strain on their budget:

Ruff says she really hopes the public will show up for the Clayton County stops because a good turn out will help bring the train back to the area in future years:

The train will stop in Guttenberg Wednesday afternoon at 12:45pm and then Marquette for a 2:45pm stop. Admission is a non-perishable food item or cash donation.

The train will continue north to Lansing for a stop at about 4:50pm. The last Iowa stop of the day is New Albin 6:15pm before the train heads into Minnesota. The train will make its way back into Wisconsin before stopping in Toma, Sparta, and La Crosse on Saturday. It will return to Minnesota on Sunday, and continue its trek north.
