Icy Road; Bad Tires Cause of Grant County Crash

On 12/6/22, at 5:45 pm, Robert Frey, 57, of Boscobel, was traveling southwest on Townhall Road. Robert’s 2009 Ford F250 lost traction and
the rear tires came around and the truck struck the embankment. The truck tires then caught and rolled the truck onto its side and it slid down
the road. A crash investigation was done and observations were made that the tires did not have legal tread depth and were not within
statutory requirements. Robert complained of pain and was transported by private vehicle to the hospital. Icy roads and improper tire tread,
combined with too fast for conditions are factors in the crash.
