The Prairie du Chien Police Department is warning the public of several scams going around. In a social media post, the department says over the last few weeks we have taken several reports of ongoing scams involving cellular phone offers including typical lottery winnings, secret shopper scams and claim your package out for delivery scams. Authorities say you should always be suspicious of them all. If it is too easy to win the lottery it is probably a scam, the package delivery companies have legitimate applications and ways to contact you. If you suspect you have fallen victim to any scam report it to your local authorities.
