The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office recently received all new AEDs (automated external defibrillators). Deputies are often first on the scene of an accident or medical emergency & AEDs are instrumental in providing life saving care in the event of a cardiac arrest. The Sheriff’s Office says they are grateful to have such vital equipment with the most up to date technology, ready to deploy throughout the county when needed. The new AEDs were made possible through a grant from the Helmsley Foundation and the Iowa Department of Public Health.
