No Injuries in Pair of Grant County Accidents Thursday

A Boscobel woman escaped injury after losing control of her vehicle Thursday night due to the winter weather conditions. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office 29 year old Rachel Weber was traveling south on U.S. Highway 61 and was attempting to pass another vehicle that was traveling south. Weber traveled into the northbound lane and when attempting to pass in the snow, slush, and ice covered roadways lost control traveling back into the southbound lane. Weber’s vehicle continued into the shoulder on the west side of the roadway and struck a guardrail. The vehicle continued a short distance south in the shoulder and struck a mailbox. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

The Sheriff’s office also responded to an accident after a Fennimore man lost control of his vehicle when negotiating a curve on Borah Road. The vehicle driven by 25 year old Aaron Wiskus, ran off of the roadway into a ditch, continued through a barbed wire fence into a pasture, and traveled down an embankment before coming to a rest in a creek. Wiskus was not injured in the crash.
