The Clayton County Sheriff’s Department has released details on two fatalities that happened in January.
On January 7th a West Union man died when he rolled his car near Highway 18 and eagle Drive near McGregor. 75 year old Ronald Miller was traveling east on 18 when he lost control of his vehicle. He was taken to Gundersen Hospital in La Crosse where he died four days later.
On January 29th a two-vehicle crash happened on Highway 13 near 330th Street. 81 year old Lawrence Sperfslage of Strawberry Point was re-entering the highway after pulling over onto the east shoulder and collided with a milk hauler. Spearfslage was airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals where he later died of injuries sustained in the collision.
