Two Prairie du Chien Men Arrested for Theft at Construction Site

Two Prairie du Chien men face charges after a theft from a construction site. On Friday, March 10th, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a report of several sheets of sheet metal stolen from a construction site on Sprosty Hill Road in the Township of Wauzeka. An investigation determined that 43 year old Jesse Lutz and 28 year old Matthew Teynor both of Prairie du Chien, went to the construction site and stole twenty-seven sheets of sheet metal valued over $4,000.00. Teynor and Lutz were arrested for theft of movable property and obstructing an officer. During the arrests, Teynor was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and Lutz was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Prairie du Chien Police Department.
