The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office released details on a couple of recent incidents in the county. On the evening of Thursday, April 13th . Officers located a man assaulting a female on Highway 18 south of Postville. 23 year old Norvin Moreno was arrested and faces charges of Domestic Assault with Strangulation, which is a Class D Felony. Moreno was also charged with Public Intoxication.
On Sunday, April 16th the Sheriff’s Office received a report of an assault in Garnavillo. The suspects had left the scene and were located by a Deputy on Highway 18 near McGregor. 19 year old Gary Larocque of Prairie du Chien was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily injury, trespassing, and underage possession of alcohol.
