Boscobel Police Make Arrests as Result of Traffic Stop

On April 4th, 2023 at approximately 11:15 pm, a Boscobel Police Officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a registration violation.

During the traffic stop, the officer noticed the driver, Toni Bailey, age 42 of Richland Center, acting suspiciously and a male passenger was refusing to identify himself. The officer requested the assistance of a Grant County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit (K-9 Vezer). An open-air K-9 sniff of the vehicle was conducted and K-9 Vezer alerted to the presence of an odor of narcotics emitting from the vehicle.

Bailey was found to have a revoke driver license and the male, now identified as Kristopher Beatty, age 44 of rural Boscobel, had an active warrant for his arrest. A third person located in the vehicle was identified as Marcus Brown, age 27 also of rural Boscobel.

During the search of the vehicle officers located methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

As a result of this investigation, Toni Bailey was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Revoked.

Marcus Brown was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine (Repeater) and Carrying a Concealed Knife.

Kristopher Beatty was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine (Repeater), Possession of THC (Repeater), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Repeater), and three counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
