Masking Requirement Changes at Crossing Rivers

Prairie du Chien, WI – Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien announced that, effective Monday, May 1, masking requirements for patients, visitors, and staff are being relaxed.

Masks will be required at Crossing Rivers Health Medical Center and Clinics, for the following:

  • Patients experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 seeking any type of care.
  • Staff providing direct care to patients considered to be at high risk of complications from COVID-19.

Masks will still be available at entrances for patients and visitors to wear if they desire. Visitors are encouraged not to visit if they are experiencing any symptoms of illness.

According to Crossing Rivers Health officials, Covid-19 community levels have stayed below high for several months, prompting the organization’s change in masking requirements. A team including Infection Prevention, Employee Health, Safety & Risk, and Senior Leadership, have assessed the risks and are confident in the safety measures in place for patients, staff, and visitors.

Ongoing monitoring of the COVID-19 transmission levels will continue, and any necessary changes will be communicated on a timely basis. Find more information, including current visitor guidelines and restrictions, at www.crossingrivers.org.
