AUDIO: Country Music Veteran Performs in Boscobel Saturday

A fundraiser for the Wisconsin River Trail will take place tomorrow at Memories on Maple, a barn venue just south of Boscobel featuring Boscobel native Bobby G Rice performing in the afternoon. Rice and his family entertained throughout Wisconsin in his early years, and then moved to Madison where his family had their own TV Show. Rice eventually moved to Nashville, and had six top 20 hits on the Billboard Country Chart in the 70’s including his 1973 hit “You Lay So Easy On My Mind”, which went to number 3. His Album of the some name went to number seven on the Album Charts. Bobby says he’s looking forward to getting back to the area:

Rice will take the stage at 4pm with Dan Kouba from Hillsboro opening the show. Dr. Rumley’s Snuff Band will play from 8 until midnight. Proceeds will go to the Wisconsin River Trail, creating a hiking/biking trail in the Boscobel, Woodman, and Wauzeka areas. Shuttle busses will be available from Kronsage Park and the AmericInn in Boscobel.
