A Crash in Platteville Township Friday night resulted in severe injuries and the arrest of one driver. 20 year old Abraham Runde Cuba City was traveling southbound on County D when he crossed the center line and collided head-on with a car being driven by a 17 year female from Platteville. Deputies determined that Runde was under the influence of an intoxicant and was arrested. Further inquiry revealed that Runde’s license was suspended. Runde has been charged with Great Bodily Harm by Intoxicated Use of Vehicle, Knowingly Operating While Suspended, and operating left of center. He has been booked into the Grant County Jail.

Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash involving a deer in Platteville Township on Saturday. 56 year old Patrick O’Dell of Spring Green was driving a motorcycle westbound on Prairie Road when a deer entered the roadway. The motorcycle struck the deer, causing it to go down and both occupants to be ejected from the bike. Patrick O’Dell was airlifted to receive immediate medical treatment, while his passenger, 46 year old Mindy Mork of Arena was taken to a local medical facility.

Several juveniles received minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash Sunday on County Q near Monfort. 31 year old Alecia Hach of Muscoda was driving eastbound and fell asleep and went into the right side ditch. The vehicle struck a rock and a culvert causing it to go airborne and overturn coming to rest on its roof. Hach and her 6 juvenile passengers were all transported by EMS for minor injuries. Hach was cited for inattentive driving.
