On July 9, 2023 at approximately 10:35am the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a one vehicle crash on Hwy 133 near Oak Ln located in the Township of Waterloo.
Jesse Sahr, age 44 from rural Cassville, was traveling eastbound on Hwy 133 in his 2000 Isuzu Rodeo. Sahr was negotiating a left hand curve in the roadway. Sahr’s vehicle left the roadway on the south side (right side) of the roadway and then entered the gravel shoulder and ditch. Sahr overcorrected, came back onto the roadway spinning counter clockwise, and then rolling onto its roof in the westbound lane of Hwy 133. Sahr was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Sahr sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Grant County Coroner. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Cassville Fire Department, Cassville EMS, Wisconsin State Patrol, the Grant County Coroner’s Office, and Bennett’s Towing of Lancaster.
The crash remains under investigation.
This is the third fatal crash in Grant County in 2023.
