A Waukon woman was recognized at Monday night’s Waukon City Council Meeting for her life-saving efforts in June. Sarah Hennessy was given a “Life Saving Award” for her actions that saved a child’s life on June 11th. Sarah performed life saving CPR on a victim who was having a medical emergency and was drowning. The award states “Sarah’s quick thinking and outstanding efforts gave someone another chance at life.” Sarah was also recognized by Waukon Veteran’s Memorial Hospital and Emergency Services.
