(Des Moines, IA) — A dangerous new drug is turning up in black market drugs sold in Iowa. The veterinary tranquilizer Xylazine has been confirmed by the Division of Criminal Investigation, found in illegal drugs sold in the Dubuque area this summer. Xylazine is often used to lace Fentanyl, both powder and pills, and heroin. There is no known antidote for an overdose of Zylazine.
