Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest in Prairie du Chien

On September 28, 2023 at 10:32pm the Prairie du Chien Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation on South Beaumont Road in Prairie du Chien.  During the course of the traffic stop K9 Phoenix arrived on scene and was utilized to conduct an open-air sniff of the vehicle. K9 Phoenix alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances in the vehicle.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed several prepackaged baggies of both marijuana and methamphetamine.

As a result of the stop and search, Raymond E.L. McCullick, age 34, of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possession of marijuana.  Additional charges of possession of drug paraphernalia were added as a result of more thorough searches conducted while booking Mr. McCullick into jail.
