Investigation Leads to Arrest and Drug Related Charges

On 10-02-23, at approximately 9:30PM, a Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested David Chiles, 34 of Waterloo. He was arrested on a warrant out of Blackhawk County for Failure to Appear. An investigation led the Fayette County  Sheriff’s Office to apply for an additional narcotics and weapons search warrant at the address of 204 E Water Avenue Wadena IA, where Chiles had been staying. During the execution of the warrant Methamphetamine, marijuana, paraphernalia, pills, ammunition, and assault rifle were found and seized. Chiles was additionally charged with possession of methamphetamine, first offense, a serious misdemeanor, possession of marijuana, first offense, a serious misdemeanor, gathering were controlled substances are used marijuana, an aggravated misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.  Jayden Robe, 24 of Waterloo IA, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, first offense, a serious misdemeanor, gathering where controlled substances are used marijuana, an aggravated misdemeanor, possession of prescription drug, a serious misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.   Both Chiles and Robe were taken into custody and transported to Fayette County, where they were held until initial appearance.  Felony weapons charges are pending at this time.  Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Iowa State patrol.
