On October 18, 2023, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an assault that may have occurred. The Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation and upon completion, the Sheriff’s Office arrested Zachary Ryan Koester, age 18, of West Union for Domestic Assault, 1st Offense causing serious injury. Koester was transported to the Fayette County Jail and released the next day by the courts to Pre-Trial services.
