On November 15, 2023 the Waukon Police Department responded to a report of an assault at 91 Joann Road in Waukon. The suspects fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival. Arrest warrants were filed with the Court the following morning. The magistrate issued arrest warrants for the suspects on November 22, 2023. Law enforcement received the arrest warrants on November 27, 2023 and all three suspects were arrested.
As a result of the incident, 25-year-old Mason E Frick, 25-year-old Colton T Vasa, and 24-year-old Carl K Johnson, all from Waukon, were arrested and each charged with going armed with intent (class D felony), burglary- 1st degree (class B felony), and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon (aggravated misdemeanor).
