Iowa Man Arrested in Wauzeka for Operating Motor Vehicle Under Influence of an Intoxicant

On Wednesday, March 6th, 2024, at approximately 7:30 a.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a traffic complaint of an erratic driver presenting a danger to other motorists, pedestrians, and themselves.

The reports indicated that the driver of the vehicle was crossing the center line on multiple occasions and nearly struck another vehicle head-on in a school zone in the Village of Wauzeka.

A deputy with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded, located, and stopped the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Jeffery Kelso (52) of Clear Lake, Iowa.

Kelso exhibited signs of impairment and he was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant and transported to the Crawford County Jail.
