Crawford County Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024, at approximately 11:37 p.m., a traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle on CTH B in the Township of Utica. The operator of the vehicle was Ryan Volden (40) of Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin. During the stop, a plastic baggie containing methamphetamine residue fell out of Volden’s pocket, and he was discovered to be in possession of an illegal narcotic (Hydrocodone). Volden was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of an illegal narcotic.
Following Volden’s arrest, the Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant for illegal narcotics at Volden’s residence of 51151 CTH B in the Township of Utica. As a result of the search, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia items were discovered and seized. Volden will be referred on additional charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
