Traffic Stop In Prairie du Chien Leads to Arrest on Methamphetamine Charges

On May 16, 2024 at 1:13am a Prairie du Chien Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation.  Upon contacting the driver they admitted to not having proof of insurance for the vehicle.  During the course of the traffic stop, Prairie du Chien Police K9 Sheisty was utilized to perform and open air sniff of the stopped vehicle.

K9 Sheisty provided a positive alert for the presence of one or more illegal narcotics and a search was conducted.

During the search of the occupants of the vehicle a male subject was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Patrick I. Hogan, age 42 of Prairie du Chien, was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
