The Prairie du Chien Common Council met Tuesday night and passed a resolution proclaiming October 15th “White Cane Day” which brings attention to motorists to yield to pedestrians using a white cane at a crosswalk. The Council also passed a resolution to present the city’s intent to apply for a safe water drinking loan should the city take on another road project in the coming year. Abram also reported to the council that they city wide clean up went well, and that the Crawford County Chemical Clean Sweep, Electronics Recycling & Household Prescription Drug Collection will be held this Friday from 10am until 2pm at the Crawford County Highway Shop on at 21515 State Highway 27, Seneca.
