Prairie du Chien Author Mary Elise Antoine will be speaking at the Villa Louis on Sunday about her latest book called Enslaved, Indentured, Free: Five Black Women in the Upper Mississippi, 1800 to 1850. The book is about five women whose lives intersected in Prairie du Chien. There will be a walk of the grounds discussing where the women lived and the events of their lives following the talk. The event is free and starts at 2pm on Sunday at the Douseman House Hotel.
