A Des Moines man walked away without injury from a New Year’s morning crash near Postville. The Clayton County Sheriff’s Department says Joel Bender was traveling west on Highway 18 when he lost control of his car. The vehicle entered the north ditch and rolled several times. Bender and his passenger were not injured. The vehicle was a total loss.
