Winter Storm Watch in Effect for Wednesday & Thursday

The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a Winter Storm Watch across the area as an impactful winter storm remains on track for Wednesday evening through Thursday. Initial impacts are expected reach northeast Iowa and southeast Minnesota Wednesday evening, increasing in intensity overnight across much of the area. Snowfall rates could be 1-2” per hour, resulting in hazardous travel conditions at times for some overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning. The storm track is still subject to slight changes, resulting in a potential shift in snowfall totals and impacts. Counties included in the watch include Vernon, Crawford, Richland, and Grant in Wisconsin, and Winneshiek, Allamakee, Fayette, and Clayton in Iowa.
